As a professional with two decades of expertise in weight management, Natalie offers support to individuals either in group sessions or on a one-to-one basis, guiding them to comprehend their eating behaviours for a healthier future. Utilising CBT and various methods, Natalie assists clients in identifying the underlying causes of their dietary habits.
The journey to weight loss and into management extends beyond just knowing what food you consume; it includes discovering the root cause of overeating, whether it's emotional eating or other factors. Natalie provides insights and equips you with techniques to foster a more peaceful relationship with food in order to keep your weight off for the long term.
Helping you understand the reasons why you may turn to food for reasons other than nutritional purposes can be integral to being able to not only lose weight but also keep it off for the long term. Disordered eating is a range of unhealthy eating behaviour’s which can include binge eating, compulsive overeating, skipping meals, purging, or using laxatives or diuretics. Disordered eating can also involve emotional eating, which is using food as a way to cope with stress, boredom, loneliness, anger, sadness, or other difficult emotions.
If you struggle with disordered eating, you are not alone and it can be a sign of underlying psychological distress, trauma, or unresolved issues.
Natalie works with clients using therapies such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), that can help you address the root causes of your eating behaviours, challenge your negative thoughts and beliefs, develop coping skills, and improve your self-esteem and body image.
Working with clients on a one-to-one basis to enhance their insight into their eating habits, utilising counselling techniques to uncover the motives behind overeating and employing coaching tactics for sustained motivation in weight loss. You will jointly develop a tailored plan that aligns with your preferences, be it rapid yet secure weight reduction through meal replacements or a more gradual approach for longer but sustainable weight loss. The goal is to find a strategy that fits your lifestyle and helps you achieve optimal well-being promptly so you can live your best life.
Working with clients in group sessions to help them understand the reasons behind their eating habits and gain a deeper understanding of their relationship with food. With shared motivation and support from individuals with similar objectives. Every session examines different topics which may lead to unhelpful habits by incorporating CBT methods to uncover the underlying causes of weight gain. Groups are kept small, with less than 12 participants. Weekly discussions cover various topics on food relationships, aiming for a balanced approach and improved self-esteem. These groups meet through weekly Zoom sessions. Contact Natalie for dates of the next course.
